Calm down :) What I mean is, it's more important to eat healthy and skip a workout, than to workout and eat an unhealthy meal or snack.
We all enjoy working out, in some form or another. It makes us feel good! You know what else makes us feel good? Eating a greasy pizza? NO! Eating healthy food makes us feel GOOD!
I always say: If you owned a million dollar thoroughbred, would you feed it junk food and not let it exercise? We're likely to earn close to or above $1,000,000 over our lifetime, so why not treat yourself like a thoroughbred?
Nutrition is not complicated! It's easy once you get past all the marketing dollars and hype trying to convince you to try some fad diet or drink some gross concoction.
IT'S NOT ABOUT 'COUNTING CALORIES'! It's not about saying, "If I eat this cupcake, how many minutes of cardio do I need to do?" You just ate a cupcake! Do you think your body is armed with the right nutrients to perform AND recover from that cardio/workout? Working out isn't a 'Hall Pass' to eating nutrient-deprived foods. In fact, that 'hall pass' analogy only makes matters worse. Contact me to understand why.
